The Unique Cultural Center

In Ávila (Spain) are opening a new cultural center Centro Niemeyer constructed under the project of well-known Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer.

Oscar Niemeyer Presents...

The spiral staircase begins outside, at ground level, then deduces in premises and further into the attic hall. The unique design is only a part of the future complex, the project is in expectation of the gradual grandiose realization.

Organizers hope that the unusual object will represent itself as a magnet for the best samples of world culture, planning development of talents, knowledge and various niches of creative activity.
Except art showrooms and speech auditorium, in Centro Niemeyer are provided: the cinema hall, rehearsal rooms, conference halls and public zones. The author's plan — the centre opens doors into culture in all its directions, forms, traditions and styles: music, theater, cinema, exhibitions in the open air, live conferences and various educational programs.

External creed from Kensuke Watanabe

Architectural bureau Kensuke Watanabe Architecture Studio became the author of this project: near to church in the city of Tokorozawa have erected an arch at which top the cross towers.

The construction is called “Cross Tower”, height of a design of 7,8 metres. The tower is made of steel plates by thickness of 28 mm., painted in white colour.

Tower support are directed to a bottom, creating original gate, through which parishioners are included into church.

The eighth place. Project Kadawittfeldarchitektur, a building of a children's garden, Austria. In facade registration metal elements which are similar to a grass are used.

The ninth place: Panta Rhei school, the Netherlands, the Dutch architect i29 used poetry as a registration element.

10 place: the Project of Latvian architects Substance — an elementary school, a sports hall.

Hi-tech barracks. Chelmsford

Hudson Architects have constructed new barracks for Salvation Army.

In new buildings the hall for divine services and a hostel has taken places. At building modern technologies and approaches were used.

The building from a tree with the zinced roof a total area of 900 sq.m. has managed to customers in 2 million pounds sterling. In a place of building the organization works since 1974.

The new center reflects two making Messiahs, giving to people a place for divine services, and also a shelter, vacation spot and joint activity.

All premises can use simultaneously; here there is a closed sports hall, a place for street games, a rest zone, a kitchen room and foyer, cafe. In a hall for divine services 320 sedentary places are equipped.

Viewing tower from Ateliereen Architecten

The Dutch architects of company Ateliereen Architecten have finished building of a 25-metre tower in sports park Reusel (Holland). The structure consists of six steel boxes set against each other.

Tower walls are executed from the wooden logs which have been grown up in the nearest woods. In Holland more than 50 points designated on map, are samples of fine development of a natural landscape.

Visitors are recommended to park the cars far from these places, and then to investigate the nature on foot, on mountain bicycles, in horse walks. 25 metre tower located in objects of sports appointment, is the main sight of a city. The tower serves as a training complex for climbers and rock-climbers.

Two of six cubes are accessible to visitors. In the third the platform for cable car start has settled down. In the uppermost cube there is a platform from which people can take pleasure in a panoramic kind on a surrounding landscape.
