The Public Library in Stockholm

The Indonesian architectural studio «Budi Pradono Architects» has developed the futuristic project of a new building of the Stockholm Public Library located in one of the central areas of capital of Sweden. The structure is generated from two translucent streamline spheres with a horizontal plate in top.

The given architectural project of a public library in one of cultural European capitals by highly skilled experts from South East Asia is a very amazing and beautiful project. Spacious reading rooms, education studios, showrooms and public catering will function here.
The unique building consisting of three parts, provides panoramic views and gives modern open space for dialogue of a considerable quantity of people, representing itself as a cultural communication center of new Stockholm.

The architectural structure is simultaneously capacious and as much as possible functional. The horizontal glass cover provides not only high degree of viewing of a city landscape, partly erasing borders between external and internal, but also delivers in all premises enough of a natural daylight.

Identical Mexican Skyscraper

The architectural project, under the code name «R432» unites 12 landscape areas, and reaches of the top: 52 floors. On 1st three floors take places: exotic restaurants, luxurious shops, the exhibition centres, fashionable showrooms, and other entertaining institutions.
Thus, the architectural studio follows the basic architecture advice — initial floors are intended for the commercial real estate. Besides entertainments, in a skyscraper the hotel with the diversified budget of hotel rooms is planned.

For creation of interiors, architects aspired to use only natural architecture, i.e. at interior design will be used only natural wood and stony materials; NO polyester!

New building of embassy of the USA in London

“A modern, friendly, safe, economic, innovative building for all times”, — so judges have responded about the project. Project Kieran Timberlake is recognized by the winner of competition of design projects of Embassy of the USA in London. The Design Project of a bureau from Philadelphia becomes a new architectural label on the bank of Thames.

In total from 37 architectural demands it has been chosen 9 which have entered into a short list. The chosen design is recognized the most corresponding to the requirements specified in the conditions of competition.

The in itself project represents the simple transparent box surrounded with landscape territory with paths at various levels. Since the second floor, the building facade is issued by protection against the sun, and also against external sights. Building terms (under the plan): 2013-2017 years.

Austrian architectural bureau Coop Himmelb(l)au will receive the award for ecological stability, Sustainability Award in 2010 year, within the limits of Architectural Review Future Project Awards which will organize the world summit of real estate MIPIM.

Alternative skyscraper in New York

The project of the threefold bridge for medieval village

The Italian architects from bureau Progettospore have offered the project of the threefold bridge for pedestrians and easy transport which is developed specially for medieval Italian village. The matter is that this small settlement is on a mountain slope, at height of 480 metres.

The bridge in eternity

The concept has been created for competition on the project of the new bridge which should connect village to an external world. Project Progettospore consists of three bridges which are hanging together.

“Creating this bridge, we have drawn lines which as though are groundless”, — authors, — “that the person moving on this bridge speak, felt free, as a bird, moving in air space”.

The medieval modern bridge

We have broken a stereotype that the bridge should have one input and one exit — the given bridge offers their set. The third bridge is accessible to pedestrians with the complicated traficability, on invalid carriages. Trajectories of the bridge and mutual crossing has allowed to use a minimum quantity of support. These three paths in the sky actually represent the uniform interconnected design.

Architects from Studio Lindfors (New York) have reflected how New York and Tokyo through pair hundreds years will look, considering forecasts on rising of sea level.

New York City and Tokyo: the Near Future

The project is called Aqualta, the main task — to predict ways of adaptation of the population to changing conditions. According to authors of the concept, harbour and system of pendant channels will replace existing transport system.

The name has given to the project concept Acqua Alta, the name of high inflow which threaten with flooding of Venice. On illustrations the future of two mega-cities, Tokyo and New York is shown, which adapt (instead of resist or try to resist) to changes in the nature.

NYC & Tokyo

Authors assume that inhabitants of cities will move above, and as the earth (for cultivation of plants and walks) will use roofs. Cities are shown without pollution — engines, cars, power stations have become outdated and have gone out of use. Project Aqualta tries to reflect on a theme of how cities can acclimatise to the nature.

Hypnos from Citroën the winner of year

The manufacturer of French cars Citroën has presented design of kontsept-model Hypnos, a dizelno-electric hybrid which has received a rank of the kontsept-car of year from British magazine Autocar.

In the car in length of 4,9 metres automatic doors, a unique arrangement of seats and an upholstery are equipped by the components similar to a prism. The videocamera built in a ceiling observes of a look of the driver, and, depending on mood, changes illumination and a smell.

The British designer of an interior of model Hypnos, Leighanne Earley, has received award Autocar as Automotive Leader of the Future. The design has been presented on Paris Motor Show in October.

Fine proportions and practically physiological style Hypnos represents the real concept of a hybrid of technologies and appearance.

The elegant crossover unites style of a sports compartment, comfort of a sedan and a practicality of space of an off-road car. Hypnos it's equipped by new hybrid installation HYmotion4 which unites dynamic representation with ecological compatibility and allows the car to be economic, despite power of 200HP.

Hypnos offers us an effective sight at the future of cars of a class lux which will combine innovative and intellectual technologies, such as system of recognition of a voice and adaptation of internal characteristics under mood of the owner, massage armchairs, the illumination sensitive to temperature, and others.

The sizes of model: 4,9m at length, 2,17m at width, 1,58 in height, wheels of 56cm.

Hi-Tech A small house on wheels. Venice

MercuryHouseOne is a small house on wheels of 21st century.

The smart on air cushion smart and mobile drawing room, work Architecture and Vision, will be presented at an exhibition to Venice in September.

Under the promise of authors, the house it will be easy to move in space, including on impassable roads of a countryside. The interior can be adapted for the various purposes.

The small house will perfectly be entered in any environment, including the city. Outside the cockleshell is issued by marble.

Stability of new level

The new exhibition, “Level Green”, advances importance of technologies and a sustainable development.

Curators of the project became architect J. Mayer, the architect, and Art+Com Berlin.

As for any live organism, each element of an exhibition is united in the homogeneous structures containing a content and technical installations.

The exhibition purpose — advancement of scientific research of the modern technologies perceived as necessity for a survival in the future.

Valley of dinosaurs for the Chinese megacity

Two towers in height of 60 floors everyone will grow in the Chinese city of Hangchow, thanks to practising architects from UNStudio.

Their form has reminded us the very tall dinosaurs living on a planet the Earth once.
The project has received name Raffles City, the trading areas, offices, apartments and hotel here will be placed.

“The project philosophy — to integrate multifunctionality into a city context so that the architectural object was entered in a city landscape”, — the author of the project speaks Ben van Berkel.

Total area of buildings — 300 000 square metres. It is planned to finish building in 2012 year.
