New Shape of the Luxury Shop Le Printemps

Parisian shop «Printemps», the most unique place where are offered for buyers only the most exclusive and prestigious marks of the goods of a luxury class, carries out grandiose updating of all premises which will cost more than 100 million dollars. End of works is planned in 2010.

Trade Centre «Printemps» is located on parkway Haussman in Paris. At present, the luxury shop Printemps is covered from extraneous eyes by a huge awning. Shop domes will be updated also — partially them will cover with mosaic gold.

All works in a building will develop by the Canadian architectural company Yabu Pushelberg which before was engaged in redesign of shopping centre Lane Crawford Home in Hong Kong.

Centre Pompidou-Metz will open in May

Centre Pompidou-Metz is a joint architectural project of Japanese bureau Shigeru Ban and French — Jean de Gastines.

The wavy laminated wooden structure of a roof surrounds a 77-metre metal spike. The roof framework is covered by translucent fiber glass and a teflon textile awning. The roof total area makes 10,700 m.sq. In a new building 5,000 sq.m. of exhibition areas will be accessible. The centre will be surrounded by two gardens and a terrace.
