According to founders of this futuristic project — the Australian architectural studio «Laboratory for Visionary Architecture» (LAVA), the «Home of the Future» represents itself as a metaphor concluding sense of the vital issues of our time.

Futuristic Project of the Future

The futuristic prototype of architecture of the future, urged to balance requirements of the person and the nature into uniform ultra-modern Eco-system. The theme of mutual relations of the person with environment and modern technologies finds development in the huge dome-shaped structure. Construction of huge architectural structure will be begun in the end of 2011 in Beijing (China).

Here will be presented 15 various samples of a micro-climate the planets recreating characteristic environment for them with integrated information technology which carry out function of the electronic vein providing a comfortable life.
The dome-shaped ceiling of structure is made from transparent plastic cover «ETFE». This modern technological material is fine alternative to traditional glass, because has twice smaller weight, lower cost and ability to pass an ultraviolet light. Last characteristic is the big advantage for formation of winter gardens and greenhouses. Besides, the ETFE is highly elastic and steady against temperature differences.
At the moment, the project Home of the Future participates in the architectural exhibition which is passing in Sydney (Australia) from now on and till March, 31st. Authors of innovative building project will present: specifications, real 3D-models, computer visualization and demonstration animation.

The friendly bridge

On the one hand the rivers there is Hong Kong, with link sided movement, with another — China, where movement right-hand. Architectural bureau «NL Architects» has thought up the tolerant bridge which will reconcile two coast: roads are imposed one on another, thereby — trying on drivers of China and Hong Kong.

The project is called “Pearl River Necklace”, the design concept connects artificial islands, forming the bridge between Hong Kong and China.

Google: "Bye-bye, China!"

Corporation Google has decided to finish the activity in China and will officially inform on the decision within the next few days. It the decision became known thanks to Chinese edition The China Business News, informs AFP.

The categorical decision

According to the influential Chinese newspaper which refers to anonymous advertising agency, Google plans to stop the cooperation with China by April, 10th, 2010. Also will stop work all services under Google control.

As it is specified in the message, the American corporation plans to declare officially the the decision on Monday, on March, 22nd. In Chinese representation Google do not make comments.

Messages about that Google plans to stop the activity in China appeared in mass-media and earlier. The Chinese newspapers asserted that users Google was informed about a stop of a webhosting for Gmail.com in the end of March, 2010.

Also, March, 17th users of the Chinese segment of the Internet could see a web sites which earlier were filtered by search system Google. Down with dictatorship! Only freedom censorship!

The project «Samoo Architects and Engineers»

In total quarter of the century back wholesale market Garak Wholesale Market in Seoul was only a headache of local residents. They complained of eternal problems with movement on adjoining streets and an intolerable stench from the rotten vegetables, which dealers had not time to realise because of inefficient system of logistics.

However, architects of the company «Samoo Architects & Engineers» have presented the project which has won competition which will recover this area and will solve weight of the problems which have arisen before.

The abundance of foot outcomes, the huge areas set with plants, good transport system, space for sports and cultural actions — all it will transform this site of wholesale trade into significant space for a city.

556,000 sq.m. will be divided into two sectors — wholesale and retail trade. In the second sector public buildings and the areas while in the second, socle, will be more spaces for large dealers will be placed.

The wholesale market in Seoul

The logistics and transport infrastructure will be developed with the account of last defects which in this project will try to avoid. Pavilions will be supplied by modern system of ventilation, that, along with the remote placing of warehouses for vegetables (in a ground floor) will allow to avoid their premature damage and rotting. Fish and meat pavilions will settle down on a North side to facilitate an entrance of transport and the big passableness of buyers.

On this holiday of a life there will be a place and for 18 floor office buildings that will allow to improve working conditions of employees and market administration. Retail trade, unlike wholesale, will be focused on the southeast, there, where crossings of two lines of city underground are concentrated.

To allocate clothes subjects (as in gallery), walls, the ceiling and a floor are painted in white colour. All other interior is very simple. A counter which grows from a floor, and the long integral hanger, the nickelized pipe in length of 250 metres.

The pipe is freely twisted in an interior, softly dividing space on various zones. The clothes freely placed on a spacious hanger, create bright colour stains in an interior. Hangers are suspended on special fastenings. Besides clothes display, the hanger also carries out set of other functions. For example, near an input, the pipe frames a corridor and carries out a role of entrance gate.

If instead of clothes on a pipe to suspend a curtain the fitting room will turn out. The pipe coils and lasts, as-as if a trace from a stick of the conductor, creating own melody.

Pavilion of ideas for the World's fair in China

The Pavilion of Ideas, project Heatherwick Studio, has won the five competitors who have entered in short-list of competition of projects of design of the British Pavilion for the World's fair which will take place in Shanghai (Shanghai 2010 Expo).

The pavilion looks as a box with one thousand beams. There is an illusion, that the bud from thin rods is groundless.

All thin rays are mobile and move together with a wind. On their tips colour diodes about which help it is possible to create on a surface various images are fixed.

In pavilion visitors become spectators of the action visualised on the huge screen.

The external platform round pavilion becomes an exposition and an audience, and also a place for cafe and the shops surrounded with strips of a grass.

The pavilion will be as much as possible harmless, designers will try to use only processed materials. The object easy, not demanding the concrete basis, “gently concerns the earths” — so has been written in release.

Valley of dinosaurs for the Chinese megacity

Two towers in height of 60 floors everyone will grow in the Chinese city of Hangchow, thanks to practising architects from UNStudio.

Their form has reminded us the very tall dinosaurs living on a planet the Earth once.
The project has received name Raffles City, the trading areas, offices, apartments and hotel here will be placed.

“The project philosophy — to integrate multifunctionality into a city context so that the architectural object was entered in a city landscape”, — the author of the project speaks Ben van Berkel.

Total area of buildings — 300 000 square metres. It is planned to finish building in 2012 year.
